History
We’d been singing a lot recently about the Balm of Gilead and Carol felt prompted to blend some.
Meaning
In biblical times, the Balm of Gilead was used as a remedy for many, many things – everything from depression to hearts to wounds. It also was deemed as something of extreme value because of its healing properties. In order to harvest the balm, the tree must be “wounded” – a mirror of the One wounded for our healing.
